1. Overview

StructSure Inspections LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides home inspection services in accordance with the North Carolina Home Inspector Licensure Board (NCHILB) Standards of Practice. Because home inspections are a professional service, our refund policy reflects the time, expertise, and liability involved in each inspection.

 

2. Cancellation Policy

Canceling More Than 48 Hours Before Your Appointment

Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled inspection time are eligible for a full refund of any fees paid in advance.

Canceling Within 48 Hours

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled inspection time may be subject to a cancellation fee. This fee covers reserved time, travel planning, and the loss of the appointment slot.

 

3. Missed Appointments & Site Inaccessibility

If the inspector arrives at the property and cannot perform the inspection due to:

  • Locked or inaccessible property

  • Unsafe conditions

  • Utility shutoffs

  • No authorization to enter

…the appointment may be treated as a late cancellation, and a trip fee or partial charge may apply.

 

4. Refunds After an Inspection Has Been Completed

Once the inspection has been performed and the report delivered, refunds are generally not available. This is because:

  • The inspection is a professional service performed under the NCHILB Standards of Practice.

  • The fee covers the inspector’s time, expertise, documentation, and liability.

  • A home inspection reflects the condition of the property at the time of the inspection.

  • The SOP does not guarantee future performance of systems or components.

If you have questions or concerns about your report, we encourage you to contact us. We are happy to:

  • Review the report with you

  • Clarify findings

  • Address misunderstandings

  • Correct any clerical or factual errors

This follow‑up support is included at no additional charge.

 

5. SOP‑Based Limitations

Refunds cannot be issued for issues that fall outside the scope of a visual, non‑invasive inspection as defined by the NCHILB Standards of Practice, including:

  • Hidden or concealed defects

  • Future failures of systems or components

  • Cosmetic issues

  • Conditions not visible at the time of inspection

  • Areas the inspector could not safely or legally access

 

6. Rescheduling

You may reschedule your inspection more than 48 hours in advance at no cost.
Rescheduling within 48 hours may incur a fee depending on scheduling constraints.
